Roofed market in Cebu City that is reputedly one of the best places to buy danggit or dried rabbitfish. This dried and salted fish is typically served with rice and vinegar and has a very strong fish taste that may take some getting used to. Cebu is famous for producing some of the countries best danggit which should be reason enough to visit Taboan Public Market. Indeed, the market featured in an episode of Anthony Bourdain’s “No Reservations” when he visited the Philippines. It’s not all piles of dried fish, however. Vendors also sell dried fruits and other delicacies.
