Resort is a bit of a misnomer for this place. There is a beach, although it can’t compete with the white sandy beaches of The Island Garden of Samal, and the pool area is relatively small. However, its slightly difficult to reach location coupled with the size of the resort means that it is a great place if you’re looking for some down-time. The resort also offers a range of activities including fishing, a river cruise, a banana plantation tour, and a jungle experience along rope bridges with some axe-throwing at the end.

The food at the restaurant is good, but overpriced for the location and quality. But the resort casitas (traditional huts) are spacious, clean, and would give even the best of hotels a run for their money. Rates for the casitas start from P4,000 per night for two persons, but you can also go to the resort for the day to join the activities (best to call ahead as it’s a bit of a drive from Tagum). Note that you need to surrender some form of identification at the entrance gate before you get to the main reception.
