Multi-day sailboat race held on the coastline of Iloilo City. Paraw are double outrigger sailboat native to the Visayan region of the Philippines, the design of which is based on boats used by the original settlers of Borneo. The festival began in 1973 as a half-day event but over time has evolved to incorporate side races and other activities and it has turned from a race into a festival celebrating the paraw. The boats normally gather at Tatoy’s Manokan on the coast and a schedule of activities can usually be found on the regatta’s Facebook page.
