Comic Con started in 1970 in San Diego as the “Golden State Comic Book Convention”. The original cult following has since sprung into so much more and today Comic Cons take place across the world from the Tokyo Comic Con to Russia’s own version.
In 2018, Comic Con will finally come to the Philippine and none other than the legendary Stan Lee will be present to wish it a successful start. Other attends include cosplayer and props maker Chad Hoku, Vietnamese cosplayer Linda Le, Austrian cosplayer Nana Ku, and, from the Philippines, photographer Jay Tablante. Apart from the cosplay competitions, there will be workshops, talks, panels, and “trading guilds” where fans can exchange collectibles.
One-day entry to Comic Con Asia is P800, two-day P1,300. Excelsior ticket holders (P15,800) will also get the opportunity to join a Q&A and photo with Stan Lee on the final day. The event runs from 10am to 8pm on both days.
